Why HS&M

Our decades of expertise as consultants and school administrators allow us to carefully assess a student’s profile, compose an appropriate list of schools or colleges to explore, and guide the student and family through the process of finding a campus where the child, adolescent, or young adult can thrive.

Each of our consultants brings years of experience working inside the country’s top independent schools in admissions offices, classrooms, and athletics. It is this rich experience on the inside that allows us to gain a deep understanding of a school’s mission, culture, learning paths, successes, and limitations. This insight informs the process and helps us find the best fit for each and every one of our children.

Frequently we work with students throughout their educational career, guiding them from elementary school placement, to secondary boarding and day school placement, then to college, and even right through graduate school placement. Many students we’ve counseled return for guidance for their own children. We work students with a range of learning profiles, from gifted to those challenged with ADHD and mild dyslexia. Our clients come from across the country and around the world, including Europe, Asia and South America, and of course New England, even right down Beacon Street.
