Alex Steinert-Evoy, M.Div.

Educational Consultant/International Liaison

Alex enjoys working with American and international families looking for the right boarding school or college match for their children in the United States. She also enjoys introducing families to colleges and other academic programs in the United Kingdom.

Alex attended The Groton School and earned her bachelor’s degree from Trinity College, where she was a collegiate athlete and team captain. An ordained minister in the United Church of Christ, Alex earned her master’s degree at The Yale University Divinity School. Since graduate school, Alex has been a teacher, coach, dorm parent, and chaplain at some of New England’s esteemed boarding schools, including Choate Rosemary Hall, St. Mark’s School, and The Fay School. She has also served as college counselor at The Beaver Country Day School and taught 6th grade at The Shady Hill School, both in the Greater Boston area.

Alex has been an educator and secondary school and college counselor for over 20 years, during which she has visited countless college and school campuses across the country and abroad and worked with dozens of school admission teams. Alex has also been selected to serve as a member of independent school accreditation teams, presented at educational conferences on best practices in instruction and curriculum, and contributed to New England independent school workshops on the role of spirituality in school missions and programs. Deeply committed to community service, Alex has been a leader in the area of service learning programs in independent day and boarding schools.

Alex lives just outside of Boston with her husband. Their two daughters attend boarding school and college in the Unites States and have provided Alex with ample experience as a parent facing the challenges and opportunities of educational planning. Alex is an avid runner and enjoys spending time with her family and working in community outreach volunteer initiatives. She also continues to officiate in a pastoral role for family, friends, and former students.
