Linda enjoys working with students with a wide range of abilities and interests. She began her career as a teacher at the Winsor School in Boston. This experience gave her an understanding of the world of single sex education, and how it can enhance self-confidence in both young women and men.
After raising her children, Linda was offered a coaching position at the Noble and Greenough School. Throughout her years at Nobles, she taught history, coached field hockey, basketball and lacrosse, and served as Athletic Director. This provided her with a unique and critical understanding of the college recruitment process.
Also while at Nobles, she developed the Afternoon Program, a unique concept at the time. This program encouraged students to expand their interests beyond athletics to theater, independent projects and community service. The object of the program was to enhance each student’s own skills and interests.
Linda also served as Co-Director of Admission for six years while at Nobles. During that time she focused on increasing diversity and the academic credentials of the student body, while continuing to emphasize the importance of personal connection with all families who inquired and interviewed.
Her deep commitment to working as a student advocate has compelled her to be highly active in the Boston area. Linda currently is a member of the Board of Trustees at Newton Montessori School and she gives generously of her time and expertise to support local charter schools.
